What can I say? This is my favourite anime. I have seen it many times, and I just can not get enough of it. Although this is strictly my personal opinion, if there are any men who dont like this anime, he is not a man at all, or worse he hasn't got a soul. Please do not be offended, thats just how I feel. :)

Just like the synopsis said, the Clannad continues, but on a totally different level. Its not a high school story any more. Tomoya and Nagisa story moves forward as well as their lives. Tomoya and Nagisa start to live together as a family with minor hardships in their lives. As you watch the story, you start to wonder what the hell could happen with them. And then..... a tragedy occurs.

I cant really write anything more about the story without spoiling the fun you are about to have while watching this, but I can promise that you will be satisfied.

The drawings are very nice in this series as well, just like it was in the first sequel. And the theme songs are very nice too. The musics are well made and really go well with the things you see on the screen. Sometimes I even got goosebumps. :)

Many un-answered questions gonna be answered through this seq. For example we finally managed to understand the meaning behind the little opening stories, and in the bonus eps (just like in the Clannad) we get some very nice alter stories, like what could have happened if Tomoya didnt meet with Nagisa the way he did. He get another girl of course, and for those who wished for different endings with different girls, like I said before you will be satisfied.

Clannad After Story is twice as amazing as Clannad was, however it starts off somewhat slow and seems like it has unnecessary character development. After the graduation it really starts to kick off. However after 16 eps things take a turn for the worse, and from there on until it ends it's both completely heartbreaking and heartwarming. I had part of what happens spoiled before watching this series, and it was still extremely powerful when it happened. This anime shot right to my #1 anime of all time when I first saw it over a year ago, and it still today is up there.

Clannad is hands down my favorite series. The first season hooked me and really got me emotionally connected with the characters. The second season takes it to another level, pretty much from the beginning. I loved every minute of it, and I'm quite sad to think that now that I'm finished, nothing else will compare. When I finished Kimi Ni Todoke, I thought the same about that series, but Clannad has done it. I didn't think that a series would be able to take you that far into their characters' lives but Clannad did it with style, humor, and real emotion. At the end, you feel like you know Tomoya and Nagisa and the rest in real life!
